In order to accept others, I have to accept that they're different. In my view, the unrest, conflict and tragedy arose from the fact that some people just do not understand that we can still live together even if we're different.

In order to solve a problem, the very first step is to define it and outline the reasons behind this problem. The subjective dogma of "I'm right and you're definitely wrong" made the whole world go crazy. I think that the main reason is how faith is being translated in a dramatically extermist way. For me, my belief is the way live. It's not a policy that I impose on others and force them to understand it.

I think the main solution is to "filter" different beliefs from this extremist ideology. This is how any successful multicultural state works. A perfect example for that would be Canada; where everybody is allowed to express their opinions freely, everybody is allowed to make their voice & belief clear. However, everybody else is also expected to respect it. I think the start would be generalizing this example for the whole world. Building democtratic regimes that're not based by any means on a certain belief. Having free media that allows everybody to share their own opinion with respect. I think that's what the US started to do in the middle east (since the middle east is the biggest multitude of extremists), but it's achieving this nobel goal in an extremely evil way. I also think that the United Nations should be responsible for this - and not the US! ;)

Irrespective of faiths and nationalities, there is a need to come together on a common mission of global peace. The world can succeed by reconciling difference and conquering the clash of civilizations. During these times of unrest, conflict, and tragedy, our only hope is to come together and collaborate as one entity, converging around our shared humanity. Is that what is being done today? If not, then how can we make this message of multiculturalism a global solution to our world's ills?
