The latest model driver from TaylorMade is the Taylormade R11 driver which became available in February 2011. The R11 Driver has new technology and innovation and will no doubt be every bit as popular as their drivers have been in the past if not more so.
The Taylormade R11 Driver was designed with significant feedback from tour players and the unification of three major driver technologies, including ASP, has been extremely well-received; we expect it to be the No. 1 model very quickly after introduction on the PGA Tour. And, like all TaylorMade drivers, it features Inverted Cone Technology for higher ball speed on off-center hits.
The r11 taylormade Flight Control Technology (FCT) allows you to increase or decrease the launch angle by one degree. There are eight different FCT positions that allow you to increase or decrease the loft in .5 degree increments and with every adjustment comes a change in the face angle as well as the spin rate.
The Taylormade R11 comes in two different configurations like all TaylorMade drivers, a standard version and a Tour Preferred (TP) model. There is no difference between the heads, however the TP driver has a premium shaft. The TP shaft list is extensive and offers all types of shafts with different weights, torques, flexes, and bend profiles, to custom fit all different types of golfers.
The Taylormade Rocketballz RBZ Driver is made for the mid to high-handicap golfers who want more distance and forgiveness so that they can hit it farther and still have a good control on the ball flight. The Flight Control Technology innovation has been incorporated into the driver, and this allows golfers to easily adjust the face angle, loft and lie to one of eight settings.
The Rocketballz RBZ Driverr boasts a larger appearance at address with a standard face height, while the Tour driver is mid-sized at address with a deeper face. It comes in a white head, similar to the R11 and can easily be aligned on the golf ball during address. The crown color also eliminates high-intensity "hot spots" caused by reflected sunlight that afflicts gloss-finish metalwoods. The white crown will also make the 460cc RBZ driver appear slightly (2%) larger, which when compared to the size of the ball, translates as a key confidence builder when teeing off.
