TaylorMade Burner Driver weighs less than the average driver, coming in at less than 300 grams; it's geared to promote faster swing speeds, higher launch and less spin. It features legendary Burner speed united with next generation Dual Crown technology. Three elements in the TaylorMade Burner Driver combine to help you send those tee shots long and straight down the middle.
The TaylorMade Burner Driver 2009 builds on the legacy of previous TaylorMade Burner Drivers to combine both SuperFast technology to promote a faster swing and Dual Crown technology to reduce the size of clubhead's crown and increase the size of the base to deliver a low centre of gravity that promotes a higher launch angle and lower spin rate. Both these developments provide a large boost in distance.
The Taylor Made Burner Driver uses an expanded MOI (moment of inertia the club's resistance to twisting at impact with the ball) across the club head for maximum forgiveness on miss-hits. The USGA limits the amount of the MOI because they feel that further increases to MOI could reduce the challenge of the game by reducing the skill required to hit the ball straight. So TaylorMade has expanded the area of the MOI on the club head, so that you can get the maximum allowable MOI across the face of the club pretty cool.
TaylorMade R9 SuperTri Driver
The Taylormade R9 SUPERTRI Driver will fit a wide range of players. Forgiving without the bulk. The head frames the ball nicely at address. It looks more sharper and less rounded than the R9 460. The feel and sound is similar to a crushing can. But less of the tinny affect of previous TM drivers. The Supertri glides through the air easily and it doesn't overwhelm the player.
This allows you to alter the clubs optimization to turn the ball up to 75 yards left of the target line or right of target line while also giving you additional control over trajectory. With a sleek black on black look combined with a 460 cc club head the Taylormade R9 SUPERTRI truly is the driver of the future.
