Players seeking even more control and feel than offered by the Wilson NSix-One Team 18x20 NCode will love the response of this version with its tightWilson NSix-One Team 18x20 NCode Racquet string pattern. The tighter string pattern firms up the stringbed for increased ball control and feel. A good choice for players who like to attack with control and precision and a must demo for fans of player's racquets with tight string patterns.
The nPS is an excellent playing racquet on the court from almost every situation. The racquet has a weight that is over 10oz barely, actually weighs in at 10.8 ounces. It feels just about every ounce of its weight because it's only one point head light. Despite this, the NPS 95 NCode Racquet still feels pretty maneuverable and volleys and slices are not a problem. One of the best areas I found for theWilson NPS 95 was at the baseline hitting with spin. The string pattern is a fairly dense 18x20, however the spin is adequate but not a good as you'll get with a 16x18 pattern. When serving, the racquet seems to prefer flat, powerful serves but kick serves are also a possiblity albeit they're not as nasty as with other sticks.
The feel that the racquet gives back is phenomenal. When hit in the center you're rewarded with a solid feel and satisfying shot. When hit outside of the sweet spot, you certainly know, but the shot doesn't end up too bad. So you basically get plenty of feedback on bad shots but the racquet itself is fairly forgiving. The cosmetics of the racquet are modeled pretty closely after the n6.1 with the only difference between the two being color in some spots. The only difference is the throat of the Wilson NPS 95 NCode Racquetis yellow instead of white and the outside of the loop is solid black instead of red and white.
I've played with the nPS for a while now and would say it is a good match for intermediate/advanced players that don't have the strength for a heavier frame but don't need the frame to provide much power.
